Sony Smart TVs will also support Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit on their Android TV Devices

Sony has just announced that it will be joining the list of TV manufacturers to be adding support for Apple’s AirPlay 2 on their new, and some existing, Smart TVs.

The surprise surrounding Sony supporting the technology isn’t that Sony isn’t a “leading TV manufacturer”, as Apple put it, but, it’s that Sony TV’s run on Google’s Android TV. However, that hasn’t stopped the addition.

Sony will also join LG by adding support for Apple HomeKit as well.

Sony TV’s confirmed to be getting the update include the Z9G, A9G and the X950G Series of TVs.
