Ash battles against the Gym Leader Wulfric of the Snowbelle City Gym. Ash uses Hawlucha, Talonflame, and Greninja. Wulfric uses Abomasnow and Avalugg. However, the battle ends in a disastrous loss for Ash, who heads off by himself to answer the doubts in his heart.
