Microsoft, today, debuted to the Mac App Store, for the first time, it’s Microsoft Office 365 Suite. Straight from the Mac App Store, you can now download copies of Microsoft’s Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook software, whilst getting continuous updates through the Mac App Store.
The apps themselves are exactly the same as the ones available via purchase elsewhere, whether digitally or otherwise, and do require an Office 365 Subscription to be fully utilised, but, as mentioned, they won’t use the Microsoft’s AutoUpdate tool, but rather Apple’s built in Mac App Store updates.
Prices for the Subscription has not been affected by this change, with the same Office 365 Subscription price available, as an In-app purchase from any of the qualifying Apps.
