Verizon announced, today at CES 2019, their first truly 5G Smartphone that will run on their 5G Network when it launches in certain areas this year, and it’s this, the Moto Z3. Now, you’re probably thinking, wait, I’ve seen that phone before, and you have, the Moto Z3 has been out for months, but it looks like Verizon are going with Motorola’s rather intriguing method to offer 5G after all.
Moto Mod your way to 5G
It adds a heap of bulk, it’s ugly, but, technically, it’s the easiest way to offer 5G instantly on launch. Pricing is still a mystery for the Moto Mod, but the Mod will not only deliver an extra 2,000mAh battery to the Z3, but naturally will bring 5G capabilities to the device.
Thankfully, this isn’t going to be the only 5G phone, if you can call it that, launched this year, but it’s without a doubt the only 5G “capable” Smartphone you could have had in your pocket for months!
