If you don’t know what Porsche Design is, it’s essentially a product in the same kind of category as anything else, literally with a Porsche brand on it … that’s literally it, and that get’s shown off again by this, the Porsche Design Book One.
You’re probably thinking, that looks familiar, which is odd as Porsche Design are claiming this is the world’s first convertible and detachable 2-in-1 … which continues to be odd considering that Microsoft released such a device over 2 years ago in the Surface Book.
So, this isn’t the world’s first anything, and Porsche Design clearly haven’t looked at the competition, then of course there’s the “Porsche Design”, which looks like something ASUS or Acer would ship for £399, it really does look hideous, and when you consider it STARTS at $2,495 USD, it hardly gets more attractive.
Spec wise of course its running Windows 10 and has the Kaby Lake Intel Core i7-7500U, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD Storage. As for the display which is removable (for the first time ever right…) that is a 13.3inch panel (QHD+) at 3200 x 1800 and is IPS. One saving grace is it does have a Pen accessory which is included, but when looking at this, we’re just here wondering … why?
