As multiple sources continue to cite, there’s an increasing chance we could be seeing an Apple Event in March, and to add to that we may already know what to expect. Naturally, it is worth noting that these are all that good old word, rumour, so we’ll have to see.
Though, if the Event does take place, these are the expected;
Red, possibly PRODUCT [RED] iPhone 7 Models
This is incredibly unusual for Apple to do, but the rumours are indicating that the company could use the event to bring some more spice to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus line-up by introducing a Red colour. Now, whilst this wouldn’t be a bad thing for the company, even after we leave another record quarter of iPhone sales, it would be a first for Apple to do something which most would suspect would come in the iPhone 7S family, though no ones going to complain at more choice.
Would you buy a Red iPhone? Red’s a very distinctive colour, but I can’t see anyone arguing with a Product Red one!
New iPad Pro Line-up + Updates
The iPad Pro is a very strange device in terms of how you interpret it, and how Apple interpret it, a Computer replacement or a regular iPad with a Keyboard, whichever way you look at it, it’s a thing and it’s getting it’s first major update to it’s entire line in the same March Event.
However, whilst the traditional 12.9 inch and 9.7 inch iPad Pro will gain extra specs and performance to boot, there’s also two extra additions to the iPad Pro family, in a new iPad Pro 10.5 and the iPad mini is expected to get the Pro treatment with the iPad Pro 7.9.
The interesting fact about the expected iPad Pro 10.5, other than it may possibly exist alongside an updated 9.7, is the fact that based on form-factor alone, it’s expected to be the same size with reduced bezels, which would be interesting. The sketchy rumour to that affect also hints at a lack of Home button, though that’s yet to be seen.
Larger 128GB Configuration for iPhone SE
The iPhone SE actually debuted at last years March Event, and is now expected to get it’s first update. Unfortunately, that doesn’t look to be improving the iPhone 6S internals, more improving the Storage configurations the device is available in.
Currently, you can get an iPhone SE in the awful 16GB, or 64GB, that is set to be doubled across the board, falling in line with current iPhone models, with a 32GB and 128GB configurations, though no changes to the performance and hardware unfortunately.
And there you have it, whether we’ll see any new Mac updates is yet to be seen, pretty much the entire Pro market are screaming at Apple for a new Mac Pro, though that we’ll have to see. Plus, we’ll have to see whether this events even a thing, its been confirmed by many top leakers, but not Apple yet so watch this space!
