Samsung announces a hideous all in one PC, lazily named the Samsung All in One!

In a world of Apple iMacs, and even Microsoft’s Surface Studio, we’ve some incredible All in One PCs out there, which offer a premium build quality, beautiful design all in coming together to make a very desirable offering, so you’d think that if a company as big as Samsung was to make an All in One, they’d do it right … right?!

Well … no. We can’t be alone at thinking this is quite frankly the most ugliest Computer introduced in recent years, acquired taste to be more kind, but let’s delve deeper, if we must, in to what the Samsung All in One has to offer.

The All in One comes in two versions, essentially a low and higher end model, with the lower end lacking the Touch Screen and support for Windows Hello retina scanning. Both versions will feature a 24 inch Full HD LED screen, which sits on top a 10W speaker sound bar. The sound bar does, interestingly double up as a Bluetooth speaker independently, which is something.

Plus if you can’t take your eyes off that screen and design after you’ve used it as a Computer, who’d blame you with this design, it also offers HDMI both Out and In, meaning you can plug in other devices such as Set top Boxes, Games Consoles etc in to it and use it as a Display.

The devices, which feature a large 24 inch tiltable Full HD LED screen which can be raised and lowered,  suspended over a massive dual 10W speaker sound bar, which also happens to be a Bluetooth speaker, is clearly designed for entertainment purposes, and the screen also features HDMI-in, meaning other devices such as set-top boxes can be plugged into it.

Spec wise you’re looking at;

  • 2.4GHz Intel Core i5
  • Intel HD Graphics 630
  • 8 or 16GB of memory (User upgradable)
  • 1TB 5400 rpm hard drive (Very thankfully user upgradable with support for 2.5inch SSD)
  • Ports: Headphone/mic combo, HDMI in, HDMI out, one USB 3.0, one USB 2.0, SD Card Reader

One thing we will give Samsung props for, which is a struggle with this thing, is the fact the All in One has a built in Battery … no you’re not going to lug this around like a Laptop, but the 43Wh battery is capable to power the PC for 1-2 hours, meaning it can be moved including swapping Power outlets without powering it down.

So, there you go, you can watch both of Samsung’s announcement videos below and see for yourself what to make of the Samsung All in One PC.
