Is it a pretty thing, hell no, but it is vast in terms of storage and supports the full speed of USB 3.1 … be it the generation 1 variety. But, that’s a good thing for traditionalists! By supporting the gen 1 style, it means it houses a USB-A port, rather than the coming popular USB-C variety, meaning those PCs you still own will happily accept these with no need for accessories.
But, of course to pack this much storage in a small, be it bulky in form factor, comes at a price, and whilst that much hasn’t been announced just yet, expect around $1000 ….. yeah, think we’re gonna wait for things to cool down!
