We hear countless rumours of the iPhone 7, too many to take too seriously in most situations, from a Smart connector that may then may not be there, a headphone jack which itself may or may not be there, to rumours which are so desperate they stretch out to the iPhone after that saying all-glass is the way forward, BUT… If one rumour is going to come true we’re hoping this one is correct.
Rejoice in the sound of the possibility of Apple dropping the 16GB starting option for the next and future iPhone devices! 16GB has being the starting option for Apple’s iPhone since the iPhone 4 and would also be the fourth time Apple would increase the base storage, but it really needs to happen, but now the evidence is starting to show that now will be the time;
- iPad Pro – both the 12.9inch and 9.7inch iPad Pros began the trend of starting out with 32GB of storage rather than 16GB, probably more interesting than that in relation to the iPad Pro, no 64GB option either as the Pros move straight to 128GB as the second option.
- Suppliers – according to The IHS Technology, the base storage level of the iPhone 7 is pointing to 32GB as 32GB storage have also being seen in production. Interestingly, Apple haven’t had a 32GB iPhone since the iPhone 5S.
As we know, rumours can disappoint, but you can’t argue that this will be very welcome news to the future of Apple’s iPhones … just keep the headphone port that’s all we ask for after that!
