Toshiba announce Encore Mini Tablet

Toshiba have announced a range of new Notebooks at this years IFA 2014, including a first for Toshiba, a 360 degree rotational Notebook, but aside from a range of Satellite Notebooks of note, the thing that really stroke our attention is the all new affordable Encore Mini Tablet.Encore Mini

Ok, correct us if we’re wrong. The normal Toshiba Encore / Encore 2 are 8 inches, meaning releasing a 7 inch device must mean it has to be branded Mini?? If you say so Toshiba.

The Toshiba Encore Mini is the exact same device we saw back at Computex 2014, a 7 inch affordable Windows 8.1 with Bing tablet that was expected to retail for just above $100, which this is at $119, at an unspecific time, well, let me happy announce, that time is now!

Just to back track, the Encore Mini, (Encore 7 as its been previously known as), features 7 inch (1024 x 600) powered by an Intel Atom Quad-Core Processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of eMMC Storage, but a Micro SD Card Slot for Expandability. Sure this device isn’t going to wow anyone spec wise, it’s not meant to, it’s an affordable tablet for casual browsing and soft-Gaming, which let’s be fair it passes!

The device is actually ready right now if you want it, from Toshiba’s website in the US, hopefully wider availability shortly!
