As you can see I’m reviewing Safari 4 from a PC rather than on a Mac, as like with IE, I don’t recommend testing betas of the OS core browser. But anyway back to the story, which is of course the browser.
Well as you can see a main new feature of Safari 4 is a change in UI, and may I say so myself, a rather Google Chrome like UI, which I wasn’t very happy with if you remember when I reviewed Google Chrome, but their is a bit more to Safari 4 than that. Safari 4 topped the benchmark test at 100/100, which is the first browser to do so and is said to be the fastest browser ever, source:Apple, but I have to say, it’s quick. Now, one problem I had on Safari 3 was certain websites wouldn’t load and would only load on IE, but those sites now load on Safari 4 which is very good, not only does it, well do that, but it also has some great new tab features, when you create a new tab you get previews of websites you’ve been on before, it even supports Cover Flow.
That’s about it really, overall I do recommend downloading Safari 4 if your interested in a speedy functioning browser, however at the moment it is a beta, but once it comes out it’s definitely the default for me!
