About The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson
The Late Late Show has been a regular slot on the CBS far before Craig Ferguson arrived and when Craig replaced Craig Kilborn as the host of the late night CBS slot many were skeptical on how it could go, I mean, this is a Scottish immigrant here.

Luckily Craig was more than that and when Craig became an official American he’s never looked back. The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is now topping the ratings in the US and is also a high rating show in Australia where, in 2010, the show debuted.

No one really knows how each episode is going to go, other than Craig introducing himself as TVs Craig Ferguson and saying his commonly used phrase It’s a great day for America everyone but after that its anyones guess.

Sidekick to Puppets

Currently The Late Late Show has many other aspects that keep it unique, none more so than the robot skeleton sidekick Geoff Peterson, voiced by Josh Robert Thompson and was created byMythBusters star Grant Imahara. Geoff Peterson has many famous quotes such as “in your pants” and “balls”. In recent episodes Josh Robert Thompson live voiced Geoff Peterson on the show creating some of the highest rated shows. Geoff Peterson has also been live voiced over for events such as red carpet movie appearances and famously Geoffs appearance at Comic-Con. Craig also uses many hand puppets on the show including Wavy the alligator/croc, Flaubert the swine flu infected pig, Kronos the monkey, Sid the rabbit, Brian the shark, Punxsutawney Phil a groundhog that speaks german, Sebastian Trouses the wolf, George the french snail and Evangeline a female ferret. In certain episodes Craig also has a cat puppet called Nadine operated by Lauren Graham, the puppet appears to have a romantic relationship with Wavy.

Swearing/Cussing with Flags

To keep the censored a bit happier, The Late Late Show uses certain flags and phrases covering up the swear words. Including a French flag and “Ooh la la”, Spanish flag “¡Ay, caramba”. Many Italian flag phrasesincluding “Tutsi fruitsi!”, “Whatsa comina goin!”. A rainbow flag is shown for “Uh oh!”, “Hmmm!” or “Ohh!”. An Australian flag is shown with the phrases ”Crikey!” or “Crikey dingo”. With a German flag showing for “Ausfahrt”, “Auf Wiedersehen” or “Achtung”. All phrases are said in an accent to the countries with references of common cultures, events and sometimes movies.

Lip Sync intros

In the days before Geoff Peterson the show intro would sometimes contain a lip sync performance, many of these being music covers and more featuring puppets other workers on the show and more. In the introduction of Geoff Peterson to the show, they performed “Look Out, There’s A Monster Coming” by Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band to introduce the robot. In 2010 however their was a problem when Craig did an intro for Doctor Who where the guest was Matt Smith, however licensing postponed the showing of the intro, however it did leak to the internet. The intro was shown few months later on the show when the guest was Doctor Who’s “River Song”.

Sketches

Now and then Craig Ferguson does many sketches oftenly featuring his impersonations of people, regular ones include Shaun Connery and Prince Charles. Craig also acts as a superhero answering your questions known as “Aquaman“.

“Craig Ferguson also uses pictures of different people and figures to identify people on the show as a joke, including;
