Apple and the tech industry remember Steve Jobs 1 year on!

Steve Jobs
Apple have dedicate their homepage do Remembering Steve, as October 5th 2012 remembers the one year anniversary of his passing due to his suffering with Pancreatic Cancer. When visiting Apple.com from any of Apples products whether being a Macintosh, iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad, or even on a PC, you are greeted with a 2 minute celebration of his life and all the things hes done for Apple, then this message from CEO Tim Cook…

A message from Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.

Steve’s passing one year ago today was a sad and difficult time for all of us. I hope that today everyone will reflect on his extraordinary life and the many ways he made the world a better place.

One of the greatest gifts Steve gave to the world is Apple. No company has ever inspired such creativity or set such high standards for itself. Our values originated from Steve and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple. We share the great privilege and responsibility of carrying his legacy into the future.

I’m incredibly proud of the work we are doing, delivering products that our customers love and dreaming up new ones that will delight them down the road. It’s a wonderful tribute to Steve’s memory and everything he stood for.

- Tim

I think everyone will agree, whether fan or not of what Apple has done, can’t deny the affect and magnitude that Steve Jobs had on the tech industry, and even one year on, it’s clear to see how much he is still missed, and how his legacy really will live on!

Apple Tops J.D. Power Rankings of Smartphone Consumer Satisfaction

APPL JD Ranking 2011

Award Recipient: Apple Inc

Apple have topped yet another Customer Satisfaction ranking by topping the (US) J.D. Power Rankings of Smartphone Consumer Satisfaction and more than beating the competition.

Apple were the only manufacturer to even come close to a score of 5 out of 5, never mind that they achieved it across the board. This isn’t just the first time they’ve won this either, this is Apple’s 6th consecutive victory. Not bad eh.

Apple winning the award could be due to the simplicity of iOS, especially in comparison to Google Android, which can confuse the average user by being too varied across manufacturer. Either way this is just one more to the ever growingly large Apple mantlepiece of awards.

The awards also measured mobile app usage amongst users of Smartphones, finding social networking and games to be the most popular amongst over 2 thirds of the survey. Also over half of Smartphone users have also downloaded entertainment apps and travel apps such as for mapping and weather.

Blog Monday 5th September 2011

Well its been a while since my last blog, but hey, nought had happened that week. So err… yeah.

This week has been very Grandad filled, literally, I’ve seen more of Grandad Lee this week than I have anyone, I knoww!!! But hey, its been interesting. Multiple rock outs on Guitar Hero with my unique Paul Simonon inspired bass style. But hey, we didn’t half find some of the best ever crappest pile of rubbish ever, we ended up watching the most weirdest film ever, ‘Barberalla’, with the worst ever storyline … take that, french comics, and effects, and why are they searching for Duran Duran lol. Very strange film. And who can forget the amazing but pathetic Jamaican Cops where men get arrested for carrying drugs … fair enough, but also for carrying very dangerous weapons like …. scissors? Yeaahhh.

We did some quite amazing Guitar Hero lineups all week, but have fear people, you’ve now not just got to watch out for Damn Crows, but now for the amazingly titled and always underrated ‘The Flock of Lard’ oh yes!!!

Then at the end of the week it was the main event, OK the time might have swifted for another bigger event and much more important one, but we celebrated the 1 year anniversary of the Drunken Duck, ooo it had everything. More drunken ingredient, err… dry wipe pens with drawn ducks … ugh, what more do you want! lol. But the main event was the sad departure of one of my best mates Kai. Not to sound weird, so I won’t … yeah! But yeah, Kai has been a really great friend and its a shame to see him go, its his choice to like so that makes it better I suppose, but the groups really lost a great asset. Good luck with the future Kai anyway. What makes it kinda worse is that we probably won’t see Jess either, ugh, too much sad news man. But they’ve promised they will come around every now and then, which I hope they do, really great friends them two. Bit annoying Kai forgot his present like, but hey, hopefully give him it next time I see it, a Craig Ferguson stand up DVD by the way, one of the reasons why I love Jess to be honest, and anyone who respects and mostly understands the Ferguson humour. Gonna miss alot of laughs with that lot. But anyway, to cut a dreary story short, good luck you two.

In other news I’ve been listening again to Everything Everything, which are probably the weirdest band in my iPod, really though, their music is odd yet amazing. I decided to roll around for some b-sides and rareties. Ended up finding probably the best and weirdest Rihanna cover ever, awesome! And probably my new favourite song which is exclusively on the Japanese version …. I knoww, why do the Japanese get everything, pfft. But yeah, some really great music, embedded both those at the bottom, I mean why not, there awesome!

What’s My Name (Cover)

Wizard Talk

One thing that was interesting about the night with Kai was he asked us all what we all had planned for the upcoming year, and future really, which with most of us intoxicated he probably didn’t get the response he was looking for and got more the response you’d expect, a drunken one. But it got me thinking, I tell you I don’t actually know, and I do think thats a problem, but hey, suppose I want the same I’ve always wanted. All I want is to feel true love from someone, and to advance in education to decent work, like most to be honest.

Gets you thinking thought doesn’t it, what do you want to have achieved this time next year? Hmm. Really gets me thinking anyway. Ah well. Education starts on Wednesday with the induction thingy, so well, think that officially means the hols are over sadly. Been interesting suppose. Although 90% of it I’d like to forget and move on.

Apple release physical version of Mac OS X Lion

Apple have, after many was noted to be shipping to Apple Stores, released Mac OS X Lion in physical form. But seen as Apple doesn’t seem to be a fan of the optical disc anymore, the physical version comes in the form of a USB Thumb Drive.

Advantages of USB Thumb Drive version of Lion

  • Advantages of this version of Lion is that the version of Lion is on the USB Drive. The USB Thumb Drive features a “full” version of Mac OS X Lion, this means that users with Leopard will actually be able to install Lion on their machines without a Snow Leopard upgrade (providing the machine meets system requirements), but the upgrade will be similar to that of Windows XP to Windows 7, in the form of the update must be done by wiping the hard drive and doing a complete install.
  • Whilst the world hasn’t left the disc behind just yet, it is much better to have an operating system on a USB Drive for basic reasons such as its much more robust and USB Drives can transfer much quicker than DVD meaning the installation of Lion may even be quicker due to this, plus, if you drop a USB drive on the floor, you can just pick it up with no worry, try doing that with a disc … well, don’t but you know what we mean.

Now I know what you’re thinking, why is the USB version much more expensive than the version that is still available in the Mac App Store for the same £20.99.

  • Well, first of all its a USB drive and shipping needs to be done, although this is probably not what you had in mind.
  • The main reason is that the version of Lion on the drive is different than that on the Mac App Store. The version of Mac OS X Lion on the Mac App Store is an “Upgrade Only” version, meaning you require Snow Leopard, and, the biggest problem is you can’t do a clean install. This version of Lion is the “Full Version”, meaning you can still do an upgrade if you so wish (providing you’re running Snow Leopard), but you can also do a clean install, which means your qualifying Macs running Leopard for example, can just jump on board to Lion, be it in the hard drive wipe form.
If you’re wondering if your Mac qualifies for Mac OS X Lion, here’s the requirements again
MAC OS X LION SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
2GB DDR2 or DDR3 RAM
One of the following Intel Processors: Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, Xeon. (Core Solo, Core Duo not supported)
7GB Available Disc Space
Apple obviously recommend a Mac with some source of Multi Touch. Trackpad, Magic Mouse etc.

So there you have it. Apple Mac OS X Lion, now available in physical form.

Blog Friday 3rd December 2010 – Snow, -20˚C, alot of it! and … what not!

Well its definitely been a while since my last blog hasn’t it, but if I’m been perfectly honest, we’ve reached that stage of the year where nothing kinda happens until the 25th, then kaboom, its a new year!
I’d be lying if somethings haven’t happened recently and I’d also be lying if I was to include them all in this public blog, but hey, read on and you’ll find out.

Snow!
This week has been College-less, nearly. Well basically last weekend came this incredible mass of snow, which unfortunately wasn’t enough to stop our Monday of College, even though there were barely anyone here, but then it kept going and snow it definitely has, plus record temperatures overtaking -20˚C which is just ridiculous man, ouch! This did of course result in multiple sledging visits through the snow, and a surprising number of trips to Grandad Lee’s bar as it were. Of course I’m talking in past tense, it still is very cold outside and the surface is white, so who knows. I was actually very glad actually, for some reason since coming back from the holidays I just haven’t been the same me, less willing and what not, hopefully a break will bring back that … I dunno, umf! Although it hasn’t been that bad going to Grandad Lee’s drunken duck, apart from the fact its always absolutely freezing down there anyway, even with what is lets face it a useless radiator. Been playing on the Wii which has actually been pretty fun, had a great laugh last night as well with Caddy, Grandad and eventually Kai, some disagreements put the mood down for a minute, but when Kai arrived, we were back!

Mini Blogs
I’ve decided that every Friday, literally, I’ve to write a little mini-blog, bought time this thing had a schedule, of course if something does happens and the keys keep typing for a long time then they’ll be a proper blog, so there you go, kinda always a blog every week!

MONKEYS!!! About!
No one likes PG Tips, or did like ITV Digital, but you’ve got to love the monkey. So I’m following MONKEY on his adventures, of course this is FaceBook friends of me only. I may … only may, post these on a public mannor, but currently are available through my FaceBook page. Follow the adventures of MONKEY on BookFace friends.

Meet up with an old friend!
I’ve no idea if I mentioned this before, and for the love of god I’m not going back to check now, but I recently, which is a month ago, got a request on BookFace from what we’re going to call on this blog D (thats not her name, I just don’t know if she’s mind been mentioned), who is the sister of James H, ya know, James, that guy who used to come around when Aaron used to … never mind. Anyway Di… D, was his sister and to be honest pretty awesome back in the day, of course being her brothers friend kinda meant we didn’t become that close of friends, and the fact I actually had a crush on her at the time probably didn’t help, especially as this was the time of the whole “Mary” fiasco. Anyway, we had some very … interesting chats on FaceBook, which led to texts, then last week actually meeting up in person. Now, because I’m a man, I did some things stupidly, like telling her I actually really “like” her few days before actually meeting up, although she seemed to respond rather well to that, which was a bit of a shock.
Anyway, we met up and due to my previous outburst of loveness, it kinda left the first few hours and minutes rather awkward, but when reality struck home that I was in all fairness with an absolutely beautiful women who chose to turn up to see me, ya know you’ve kinda of got to just roll with it man. We actually had quite a laugh, I enjoyed myself, telling if she did was many times rather debatable, you can never tell with women. Well basically I told her that I love her, which I really do, and ya know, well, she didn’t leave put it that way.
What I love about when we met up was, the entire snow weather didn’t occur until that day had ended and we’d said buy, even the weather wants us to be in a relationship, I sure hope so. Although she’s been pretty quiet since then so I’m still kinda on the fence on whether it all went as well as it seemed, although I know she’s got quite the troubles of her own, which I’m definitely not going to go in here! But hey, if she’s looking for someone who loves her, and will support her through any lows, me’s ya man!

I’m really loving Blur right now!
Now seen as age restricted me from been a pure Blur fan, kinda because Leisure album came out before I did, if you know what I mean …. wow that was a bit nasty. But seriously after getting all 5 Blur albums, and with rumours of a 2011 project, I’m loving it, in comparison with Oasis, Blur are just gods. Seriously though, if you want cheering up listen to a bit of Blur, well, except Think Tank, thats the lovey dovey depressing one!

Christmas Songs 2010
This list will probably be updated later, but here are all NEW Christmas Songs that have arrived this year!
COLDPLAY – Christmas Lights
HURTS – All I Want For Christmas Is New Year’s Day
MARIAH CAREY – Oh Santa
This list is sure to grow. I’ll be adding our classic collection of Christmas songs soon to the RKUK Media, and all Christmas songs on RKUK Media are available here!

RANDOM SIDENOTE: Does anyone spell Grandad correctly, seriously you’re supposed to spell it Granddad!

Well thats all folks, E-Ya Later

Blog Friday 17th September 2010 – End of Hols = Last Minute Trip + New Timetable

Well hasn’t this been a wait. In light of all the excitement going off during the holidays we’re finally back to a prompt due schedule, be it a new one, but the whole mo jo is still the same.

September So Far!
September has been a rather interesting month so far, quite some things have happened, I’ve ventured off on an unexpected trip, heard about having a second, and the usual banta of having a holiday of course.

Unexpected Venture, well holiday!
Well, whilst on multiple trips out with Rob and co I learned about their trip to holidaying out, well this one in particularly ended with me with a train ticket to go their! The holiday itself, be it in Bridlington, was actually something I wasn’t too sure about, wasn’t sure whether to bother or not, but hey paid for ticket now, so kinda have to. So, we’ll see how it goes.
Anyway, the Saturday arrived to set off and, obviously I did, set off on my own unexpected epic journey of traveling on 1 bus and 2 trains. Be it the first time I’d taken such a major trip, as in length and due time, rather nervous but made it, rather annoyed about my 40 minute wait in Hull, which I thought I’d occupy by walking in to Hull and looking at the iPhone 4 deals, but NO every phone shop was closed, whilst pretty much all shops were closed their still was a suspicious amount of people around, hmm!
Arrival
When I arrived in natural train time, which is actually bang on time, eat that bus services … yeah told them. Any way, few minute wait and was greeted by Rob and Helen, why I named them in that sentence in some random fatal case that it wasn’t them and this was some sort of trick by an Egyptian man to kill me! … … Well! So, yeah, after that we went to the massive nearby, very convenient Tesco, then went round “Night Bridlington”, wooo! Got a pint at the local Weatherspoons, yes I know, they are everywhere! Got an Hot Dog, which was bluddy lovely, then after a tour round Night Brid, went to the area of residents.
I have to say I was rather impressed with the place they’d got for Brid, which was a house rather than a Caravan, less Beach house more Farm house, but had had some work on it so it was pretty good. One of the rather good additions to the place was indeed the highlight, a hot tub, jacuzzi thing! Two words that mean more or less the same thing, everytime I mentioned it I had to chose in my mind what I was going to call it that time, but hey, enjoyed using the Hot jacuzzi Tub.
Day Out, and then … Out, shoo!
The next day, after spending the night in a surprisingly large bed, we headed in to “Day Bridlington”, I must stress for foreigners that these are not two places. Anyway, got some doughnuts, the iPhone info I wanted to get in Hull on the way their, and then went on two rides, Twister and the one where you get very wet, unless your Rob and sit in the back.
Then, before you knew it, the day had past, had a pint finale headed back on what was to be the journey back.
Un-Arrival … leaving then … shuttup!
The way back was a lot more troublesome than going to be honest, as the reason I had to go back was the same reason alot more people had to go back, jobs and education. Despite been stood up on the longest of the two trains I had to take, then having to take a bus which takes longer in which diverts you on to another bus making the journey last 5 hours, it wasn’t that much of a troubling journey! … Yeah! From tea time to pitch darkness my journey took me. Come on guys turn on the epic music.
No, in all seriousness had a good time, which is very very swell!

College and ought Else!
The day after my journey back from my … journey, was to College, oh joysee joy. After finishing a week of the new timetable I have to say its pretty much the same as last year, so like last year I will not bore you with the info, longstory short, 2 rather than 1 day off on Wednesday and Friday, which is why I’m in a better mood today, so overall, very good.
As for anything else, well saw Grandad Lee and Kai a few days after, which was a pretty good night, especially as Grandad on Wednesday took my trip to see Rob as well in Brid.

But that leaves us at point nemo. Obviously as we’re no longer in the hols, more things’ll happen, meaning mroe regular blogage! ooo goody.

But for now, E-Ya Later

Blog Monday 4th January 2010 – First Blog of 2010

Welcome to my first blog of 2010. Since my last blog, Christmas has happened, my less than epic new year celebration and my first day of College … kinda.

Christmas
Christmas Day was always going to be a bit less of a Christmas Day based on the fact this is the first year I’m not getting something big for Christmas, but I actually still had a sack full. I got 5 deodorant sets, OK gonna take the hint, that was quite offensive, although at the same time I was running out, some clothing and some shoes, oh and of course some chocolates. My main present was my Apple Care for my MacBook which was happily very easy to install, insert disc, load site link, enter box code and Mac serial number, WA-LAH! It also comes with a piece of software called ‘TechTools Deluxe’, which checks and diagnoses any hardware problems, which is always useful to have, might as well install that once the disc is in, part from that, once you’ve done that you probably literally will never need that disc ever again, seriously. And that was it really, part from some boring Christmas Dinners which is to be expected.

New Year
New Year in my opinion is the most pointless celebrated thing ever, woopty-du, a new year. So, as you can imagine I never really pull out the stops throughout the countdown, in fact I didn’t pull out any stops, although I did do something which is quite extraordinarily awesome, I’ve added all the YouTube videos from RKUK Entertainment to RKUK Media, but no not a boring embed to experience the bad YouTube player on another site, oh no, you can use our player, nice!

First Day of College … kinda
Well, today, being Monday, was the first day of College. I actually woke up rather well this morning considering the fact its a Monday and I’d a full day ahead of me, but oh well. I was surprised how warm it was, then I realised it was still inside, outside it was -5ºc, which is quite cold y’know. After I found my things I set off. Have to admit I have been missing my music listening on the bus, my music listening, ie through earphones, not normal bus noise that just makes you sick. Anyway, arrived at College, did the 50/50 guess to which of the only two rooms I ever go in for College, then found out that we weren’t going in that room because the heating wasn’t working in certain rooms and we maybe going home. Talk about giving us hope, we were then sent in to what was apparently a heated room, yeah right, then in an hours time, we were sent home, so at 10:20 (ish) I was on the bus home, this was after heading to Dewsbury to get a months pass, oh and check if anywhere in Dewsbury sell Bacon Fries, its my new obsession, why, cause they are for whatever reason, rare!
But that was it for my first day at College, hopefully the rest of this term are like this, as I hate College, I’d rather work from home to be honest anyway!

Selection DVDs
Oh and I’m going to be filling in the gaps in 2010 to put all the rest of the older Selection DVDs on RKUK Media, April is the expected finishing time, so far, as of this blog, 1-21, 27, 28, 29, 59 – present are currently on, we’re filling in the gaps. Selections 20 – 26 are to be done this week, 20 and 21 have been done so far.

Anything Else…
Er.. No.

Well thats it for now, E-Ya Later

Blog Sunday 13th December 2009

Its really kinda my fault I haven’t had a blog for nearly a month, so its only right I rush to it before its too late.
Since my last blog I’ve had headache with EMA, missed three weeks of EMA because they decided to, I don’t know, not pay me, but finally got it sorted out last week, so hopefully that should be it. But all in all the last few weeks have dragged, just because college is getting crapper and crapper, just starting to drag, can’t wait to leave to be honest.

A Christmas Carol
Yesterday I went to the cinemas to see A Christmas Carol, the new one with Jim Carrey, and if I’m going to be perfectly honest I thought it wasn’t that good. If you like Jim Carrey you have such high expectations, but I thought it was quite frankly, well not terrible, it definitely was the best Christmas Carol I’ve ever seen, but nothing special. So I’d give a 3/5, sorry Carrey, but you’ve done better. If you want a good Jim Carrey Christmas Movie stick to the Grinch, which is now in Blu-Ray, Wooo!

X-Factor
Like many including over 10 million who voted, I’ve just found out that the winner of the X Factor 2009 was Joe, and I’m so glad, firstly cause its a male winner, and secondly unlike Leon Jackson, he’s actually a good singer, I’ll be buying Joe’s album when it comes out, but not the winners song though. I am a firm hater of Miley Cyrus, why? Well, where do I start. She loves herself, she’s a crap singer and actress and, well I think I’ve said it all there! So, yeh, big fan of Joe, so yeh, happy about that!

Mac Mini
Next year I’ll be getting a Mac Mini, so err, yeh. Just thought I’d mention that. Hopefully Apple release iLife 2010 so it will have the edge over the aluminium MacBook I’m typing on. I’ll be getting the top spec Mac mini and of course I’ll be doing a review of it when I get it of course.

Life in General
Nothing really has happened in life really, yeh sorry to disappoint you with my disappointing life.

Upcoming to RKUK Media
1. Your Future Mobile
Your Future Mobile has returned to RKUK Media and this time we’re allowing anyone to submit reviews about there handsets, so get your reviews in, all you need to do is to send an e-mail to rkukonline@gmail.com with the phone name, first impressions, pros and cons and your mark out of 10. Simple as, oh and leave a name otherwise we’ll simply put, review by, then your email address, so leave an alias name of your name.

2. Videos in 2010
RKUK Media are going to create more videos than ever before in 2010, so yeh look out for that. In February, The Show live will also launch with Ben.

3. Return of Marriland
RKUK removed Marriland from the top tab, well after a little message from Marriland’s Twitter, he will continue to uploading videos from Tuesday, which is good. Marriland will replace the R-Browser tab as R-Browser is now discontinued.

4. Google Adsense
Whilst this may seem like something which would only effect us, and more adverts may seem like something bad for RKUK Media, but we’re going to be adding adverts only on certain pages about the page sections, for instance, mobile phone adverts on Your Future Mobile etc. Plus, if we start to make money on RKUK Media, then we will get bigger and better.

And thats all for this blog, I’ll be returning to my old routine with the blogs, as in atleast one a week. I’ll also be focusing alot on TechnoBuffalo and more.

E-Ya Later folks

Blog Saturday 26th September 2009 – 2 Weeks of College, IKEA Trolley, Selection 74 and more!

Can you believe its nearly an entire month since I did a personal blog, I’m telling ya that is a record, something which I think needs to stop now, one, so it’ll be easy to beat it again! No, not really, but ya know, its been a while! Since my previous blog I’ve been chased by a trolley whilst visiting IKEA, I’ve started my college course and just ended the second week and, no thats about it!
To be honest that is why I haven’t had a blog for a long time, basically because where at that time of year again, the uneventful time, last year I had a lot to talk about in college and stuff as it was my first real experience out-of-school life, but now its kinda the same and rather uneventful to be honest, which lets face it, isn’t that fun!

College Life
College this year has been completely different, in a good way … kinda, in a bad way … also kinda! No, to be honest its kinda been alright to be honest, the course is at its peak so nothing is happening at the moment, but may I just say that merging Dewsbury and Huddersfield into Kirkless College has been possibly the worst decision thats ever been made, seriously every single thing has become around 90% worst, seriously, to start with, the PCs, whilst they are PCs last year they performed to par last year, now they’re connected to the sh**est network ever, which in turn makes all the computers unresponsive and laggy, which is just brilliant eh! So, first things first, get rid of that merge, their ya go, I’ve fixed the issue!

IKEA – The Chase
Well, like we always do, but this time with the addition of Ben, me and Rob went, sorry, walked to IKEA again, which if ya don’t know is what anyone would consider a car journey away from where I live, to be honest I was rather happy to be honest we had quite a laugh which got more unusual when we first, almost got locked in a petrol station and after having a bit of fun with a Shopping trolley, then got chased by it, yes you read right, me, Rob and Ben have been chased by a shopping trolley, quite something to tell the grandkids yes! Then found out IKEA was closed, so walked home where we got shouted by drunks and saw a dead cat, so yeh, quite a usual night out then!

Oh, and Selection 74 is out, I struggled to get Mr Hudson song, so I had to do a deal with Mercury Records which was kinda strange!

Well, lets hope it gets a bit more eventful in the coming days!
That’s all for now folkeys <<What?, anyway, E-Ya Later!

Blog Wednesday 29th July 2009

Expect: Life, Dr Conrad on Randall & Hopkirk, return of an old pal, and more!!!

Life
I’m gonna be honest with ya, I haven’t really been paying much attention to blogging recently and since RKUK Online collapsed I’ve kinda been a bit over-lazy ya could say, how do you manage, seriously life without some sort of responsibility or routine is actually rather boring and uneventful, so what have I done, well I’ve revived RKUK Online from the beautifulness created on Ning that is R-Network, R-Network from 24th July, so it is now basically, will be called RKUK Media, just wish I didn’t have to wait 4 weeks for Google to realise that, but there ya go!
RKUK Media
RKUK Media will have more or less the same thing as what was on RKUK Online, Selection DVDs, or what will soon be called RKUK Music Selections, suits better now seen as we stopped DVDs and went online from Selection 48, all our videos, music (which will link to BBC Radio 1) but with the added ability to add MP3s of your own, which is nice. We’re basically taking everything from RKUK Online, putting it into what is now RKUK Media and adding all that social network feature-ness that was in R-Network, oh and RKUK Media has a lovely cool blue look, yes the new logo was a sign!
Back to the story
How have I been, I’ve been good actually, alls been going rather well to say its a holiday which I particularly tend not to enjoy due to basically been bord and having nothing to get up for so I only go to sleep when I start to get tired which has actually reached 6AM before and then getting up around 5PM, so not the healthiest of lifestyles. Speaking of health, I had a dental check-up last week, which was just brill … I ended up getting a prescription for some sort of over-powered toothpaste, oo, which I got today actually. And thus, we reach the present time!

Dr Conrad on Randall & Hopkirk
Many ask me where the hell did you get the idea for Dr Conrad, well, the answer, an episode of Randall & Hopkirk Deceased (the best thing ever from ITC) and one scene involving a phone call which became rein-acted in Dr Conrad Episode 1 – The Big Mistake, but to be honest I never thought that would make it to 10 episodes, or the idea of a movie. Anyway, if your a fan of Randall & Hopkirk, you’ve probably seen it, unless you’ve forgot, so if you’ve forgot, or never seen it and are interesting in watching the episode I have provided you with a Rapidshare of it, oh yes aren’t I generous!
Rapidshare Links, and download instructions!
You will download 7 files which will be .RAR files, in which you require WinRar (Windows) or Shuffit Expander (Mac OSX) to open, however do not open any, unless you have all 7 downloaded!

http://rapidshare.com/files/50829487/RandH1x22qwerzz.part7.rar
IMPORTANT NOTE!
Unless you’ve a premium account with Rapidshare, you have to wait 80 seconds for the download to begin, and have a 15 minute gap between downloading another file, you cannot have consecutive downloads! When you’ve donwloaded all 7, make sure they’re all in the same folder/location, and extract the first one (part1) in doing this you’ll be asked for a password, enter “ripped_by_qwerzz” (without the quotation marks) and it will start extracting. You only need to extract once, as all 7 files contain an extracted one file, the file will be an .AVI file.

Return of an old pal!
Well, I use the word pal lightly, as sometimes he really pi**ed me off back in the day, but believe it or not last Monday I received a message on FaceBash (FaceBook) which is kinda rare to be honest, I normally get either friend requests of pointless un-needed-to-know notifications like “One of your friends is male and used to live in Scotland”, I might know that as I added them as a friend right!?! Yeah.
Anyway, so I went to FaceBash and checked my Inbox, I was amazed, after all this time, an e-mail from the one and only (I’d do an intro but my hands are tired) , it was only Richard Whittaker!!! (crowd shock sound effect please) Yeah, so we basically added each other on FaceBook and Tagged actually but I never used Tagged as the only people on there are prostitutes and pedos, so err … yeh, no offence if I know you and you’re on Tagged, but its true, and soon you will turn into one of the above! Anyway, now I’ve warned you non-taggers off Tagged, whilst also giving it a slogan it seems, we’ll get back to the story … hmm again it seems! So, we got chatting about old times, then to today, he’s currently living abroad as I guessed to be honest, I found something interesting, his sudden disappearance wasn’t to do with him, which kinda makes a needed forgiveness for vanishing unneeded really. Anyway, he seems to be living the high-life to be honest which annoyed me, don’t know if its true or not, but there ya go! He’s also studying in the UK, so yeh! Well that’s that, he’s basically been acting like a fugitive behind all our backs, oo! Anyway, thats that I guess!

Well thats it for now, E-Ya Later

Blog Wednesday 1st July 2009 – Last day of College, Firefox 3.5, Liquid Crystal

It’s July, it’s the last day of college, its la-di-dah, I know what your thinking, get on with the blog, OK, random person that sounds like me I will!

Last day of College
Today was the cource overview thingy, basically we come in, they tell you what you know, then if you can get into Level 3 or not, unless you’ve other plans, in that case they just tell ya what you know! Well, now thats off our chest, well just mine, but anyway! I knew for a fact I’d merited the course before I came in, so apart from the annoyingness of the warm weather, all was good on my part. I’d to arrive at 2:30PM at the college room, which like always I was a bit early so I got some Lucozade, very nice I must say. Got in, everyone here, except Michael, who thought, paahh, although he already knew so I’ll give him that one, and Sam J, but that was due to injury! Anyway, got in, everyone seemed in a happy mood, I mean who wouldn’t be, its the last day, and unlike at schools we don’t have to be their through the day, only the time we’re needed, which ended up being about 20 minutes, Judith, Nancy and partially Lee talked through getting into Level 3, letter around about August, enrol, wa-la.
Quite a lot got through, although most of who I know won’t be here next year, so it’ll be interesting to see who’s left. Jonathon is going into the Army, apparently. Sam failed, I would be lying if I didn’t, and he didn’t see that coming, so a fresh start next year then. One good thing is I can still benefit from my EMA, still get the top shot for the next two years before it needs to be renewed, although by then it would be ALG. Anyway, thats pretty much the last day of college, great, apart from the surging heat!

Ought to add to that!
Not really, I saw Rob on the way to college, thought he was taking a driving test as it was a different car, phew when I found out that it was his Dads new car and he was just having a look. I swear I saw Jesus this morning, seriously the spitting image was walking by the top of the road, just with white hair, I mean, come on, even Jesus ages, anyway!

Firefox 3.5
Firefox 3.5 was released this week and I’ve downloaded it. I have to say, it’s faster, cleaner, and overall better, can’t go wrong with it, the only problem I have with it, is, it’s, Firefox! Don’t know why, but there is something about Firefox that I’m not a fan about, I think its verging on being a bloated web browser, since using Apple Safari on Windows and OSX, I have to say that beats it for me, Firefox just isn’t my thing. But if Firefox is your thing, version 3.5 is a worthy update, it steals the grab feature from Safari, where in multiple tabs you can drag it out to make it into its own new window, it also supports multi-touch on Mac OSX for the notebooks, so you can (like in Safari) go back and forward using 3 fingers etc. Any doozle, if you want Firefox update, head over to getfirefox.com.
–Disclaimer: I must note that I’m writing this based on my experiences on Mac OSX, Windows or Linux may be different and features may not be included

Liquid Crystal
Liquid Crystal is possibly the best re-make of PKMN Crystal out their, and unlike Crystal Shards, the other known Crystal re-make, this has specialized music, new rivals, new places, its better and new! Check out my specialized Liquid Crystal blog byclicking here!

But that’s all that mattered to me this June 1st 2009
