Nokia Lumia 920 vs Samsung Galaxy S III & iPhone 4S

Nokia, after their big September 5th conference, showed some real life tests to attendees on how great the camera really is on the Lumia 920. Nokia showed how the Camera could take pictures and focus in complete darkness, in this case a small hole in a wall, and did this test against top handsets from Android and iOS, notably the Galaxy S III and the iPhone 4S, three phones with 8 megapixel sensors. To focus in dark areas the Lumia 920 does something rather unique, whilst it appears to use a Flash, it only uses it as a Focus guider in taking such pictures, so you don’t get the added affects of using a Flash, the results are just incredible.

Next was video, in this test they held the Lumia 920 in the air and took a small video, the video result was smooth and looked like it was filmed from a tripod. Video capture was not however compared against the two other devices, but all devices do support 1080p video recording so it will be interesting to compare video quality later when the device ships.
